There are arguments that this letter was a circular epistle written to the churches in Asia Minor, the reason for this is that Paul did not write in very familiar tone as he did to the Corinthians Galatians and Philippians, there were no personal greetings, and just like in Colossian Epistle he said “I heard of your faith” as though he had never visited them (Eph.1:15, Compare Col.1:4,2:3). But evidence also abound that this letter was to the Ephesians; except for a few questionable manuscript which omit Ephesus in 1:1, almost all the reliable manuscript says the letter was address to the Church in Ephesus. Also, we were clearly told that Tychicus was sent to Ephesus (Eph.6:21, 2Tim4:12), it was about the same time he delivered the letter to the Ephesian, and also to the Colossians. Some suppose that this was the same letter that was copied to the Laodecieans, and this explain why Paul was not so personal in this epistle.
